This yellow and white gold band ring is a special treat. Unlike other manufactured items, which have been produced by machine in large numbers since the 19th century, this design is handmade and therefore unique. The ring, cut out by hand, looks like delicate lace on heavy velvet in which sparkling diamonds are set. The gemstones are significantly older than the ring itself. They are fine old European cut diamonds. In addition to a stone weighing approx. 0.52 ct, which is set centrally in a raised frame, there are six further old-cut diamonds with a total weight of approx. 0.90 ct. Every detail is worthy of special attention. The sides of the frame of the large diamond in the center are engraved with fine lines. The sides of the ring also bear elegant engravings: you can tell how much time and effort the goldsmith has invested in this ring. The ornamentation and workmanship of the ring correspond to the designs of the famous Italian jewellery house Buccellati. Due to a change in the size of the ring, it unfortunately bears no hallmarks or hallmarks. Nevertheless, we believe that it was most probably created in the workshops of the jewellery house. Due to the use of antique diamonds, we assume that it was created in the first years after the Second World War. We discovered the ring in Cologne. It is very well preserved. Unfortunately, due to its special shape, its size cannot be easily adjusted.
